Callout for Division Representatives

We are inviting members to apply for a number of positions (please see below) within the BASES Divisions.

Members can apply for more than one position. However, you can hold only one position at any one time. Five CPD credits are available for members.

Divisions

Division of Biomechanics and Motor Behaviour

  • Deputy Chair
  • Membership Representative

Division of Sport and Performance

  • CPD Representative

Division of Psychology

  • Deputy Chair
  • CPD Representative

Appointments to the BASES Divisions

Competency based recruitment and selection processes will be used. Members are asked to demonstrate competencies on an application form. The BASES Appointments and Remuneration Committee is responsible for appointments.

  • Deputy Chair.Is responsible for supporting the Chair and deputising when the Chair is absent. Responsible for co-ordination and administration (taking meeting minutes) of the Division.
  • CPD Representative. Is responsible for organising at least two quality workshops and webinars each year and providing a varied calendar of CPD opportunities for Division members.
  • Membership Representative. Is responsible for maintaining and enhancing member benefits and services, and leading initiatives to drive membership recruitment and retention.

Meetings:

There are normally three Division meetings per year. Additional deliberations may be conducted via e-mail between meetings, as required.

Term of Office:

All officers shall normally hold post for a two year period.

Financial Policies:

  • Service on the Divisions is non-remunerative.
  • Travel and meeting expenses for Committee members are reimbursed according to the policies and procedures of BASES.
