Endorse your CPD event

If you are running a course or event that you feel may be of interest to the sport and exercise science community and would like to benefit from the assurance of quality that an endorsement from BASES provides, then you can apply for CPD endorsement.

In addition to an endorsement from the UK's leading professional body in sport and exercise sciences, BASES will also help promote and market your event - and can administer bookings as well.

What are the benefits of BASES CPD endorsement?

Having your CPD event or course endorsed by BASES means:

  • It is recognised as meeting required criteria for the award of BASES Continued Professional Development (CPD) credits
  • It can be promoted via BASES communication channels to reach a large target audience - one Facebook and one Twitter post (additional posts can be purchased)
  • It will be advertised with an Endorsed CPD Event logo on the BASES website; and the Endorsed CPD Event logo can be used by the event organisers on their own promotional material
  • It will appear in BASES monthly e-newsletter, which is circulated to all BASES members
  • It will be listed in The Sport and Exercise Scientist quarterly publication (Diary Dates), subject to publication deadlines

What is the procedure for applying for BASES event endorsement?

Read the BASES CPD Endorsement Scheme Guidelines and then complete the online BASES CPD Endorsement application form.

Please submit your application in good time and allow a minimum of two weeks turnaround time for your application to be reviewed and for any adjustments/further information to be submitted. A BASES CPD Committee member will review your application and contact you directly.

The number of CPD credits awarded is at the discretion of BASES and no single endorsed event will be awarded more than 10 credits.

Can BASES advertise CPD events without endorsement?

Yes - as long as your workshop, conference or CPD event is relevant to our members (i.e. sport and exercise scientists) then we can list this on the BASES website to promote it to our members for a small administration fee. See Advertise an Event for more details.

BASES stands for the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences. BASES is the professional body for sport and exercise sciences in the UK.
