Full description

We are seeking a passionate and engaging exercise professional to deliver an excellent exercise
assessment and programming service at the I Can Therapy Centre, Andover. Operated and managed by
charitable Valley Leisure Ltd, we help people to move more and feel better through the provision of a
power assisted exercise circuit and accompanying community exercise classes.

A key role at the Centre, you will support the Centre Manager with the provision of an outstanding
therapeutic exercise service for all users of the I Can Therapy Centre and you will assist the Partnership
Development Manager in developing the offer.

You will join a small team and provide excellent customer service ensuring a safe and effective
movement experience, you will empower and enable our customers to move more and feel better, you
will monitor the effectiveness of and progress customer exercise programmes, you will evaluate the
service and present this to a variety of audiences, you will coordinate supporting community exercise
opportunities and you will represent the service at relevant community outreach events.

This is an exciting opportunity if you are a proactive self-starter with the drive and desire to enhance an
established service and develop the charity’s offer, in keeping with your unique qualifications, skills and
training. This role will progress your exercise career within a specialist exercise setting.
Suitable candidates will possess the following:
• Passion and enthusiasm to help people move more
• At least one year's experience of working with older people, those managing long-term conditions
• An Exercise Science degree or equivalent
• Cardiac Rehab Instructor Qualification (BACPR) or Postural Stability Instructor for Falls
Prevention (Later Life Training)
• Registration with an industry recognised professional body
• Recognised public liability and professional indemnity insurance
