BASES Division Chair roles
The following Division Chair roles are due for appointment in November this year:
- Chair of Division of Biomechanics and Motor Behaviour
- Chair of Division of Physical Activity for Health
- Chair of Division of Physiology and Nutrition
- Chair of Division of Psychology
- Chair of Division of Sport and Performance
BASES Division Chair roles are appointed every two years, commencing their term at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Division Chairs serve on the BASES Board for a two-year period until the conclusion of the AGM two years after appointment.
At the end of the first two-year term, Division Chairs can re-apply to serve a second term in the role.
Division Chair’s main responsibilities:
- Serve as a Director of the Association on the BASES Board
- Develop and maintain a Division strategy providing direction, support and co-ordination
- Provide a Division ‘network’ for members to engage with like-minded sport and exercise scientists
- Lead the planning and implementation of Division projects
- Oversee organisation of Division Committee meetings and Division Days and Events
- Represent the interests of the Division on the BASES Board.

BASES is inviting applications for Division Chair roles from 1 July 2018 until Friday 5 October 2018.
Applicants are asked to complete an Application Form outlining their skills and experience to demonstrate their suitability for the role.
