  • Sport and Exercise

I've had the opportunity to work across a wide range of sports, organisations, and environments. These experiences range from recreational athletes and clients, through to professional and international athletes and teams. My applied experience in sport spans both individual and teams sports and includes working with athletes from football, cricket, boxing, golf, gymnastics, athletics, and netball amongst others. I've been able to work within a 1-to-1 private consultancy capacity, as well as being integrated full-time within professional organisations and an applied clinical and performance psychological consultancy company. I have also worked in exercise contexts with regular gym goers and within CrossFit. Therefore I'm able to provide a first-hand insight and perspective on a range of challenges, barriers and considerations associated with working as an applied practitioner in sport and exercise psychology.

Supervision approach

During supervision, SEPAR candidates will experience both individual and group session support. Individual sessions will focus on key areas of development and these discussions will enable progression of your individual practice across a variety of key areas (Inc. philosophy of practice, ethics, delivery of practice). The focus of these conversations will be directed by you, the candidate, as you navigate your early career in sport and exercise psychology. The purpose of group sessions is to expose you to peers at a similar stage of development and create discussions on key topics, experiences and considerations for applied practice. All students under my supervision are able to contact me when necessary regarding any particular areas of practice, clarity or support.
