*** Limited availability for January 2025 intake - enquiries please via https://www.richsille.com/separ-supervision*** I work with individuals and organisations to support personal and professional development. Through my role at Isle of Man Sport, I work with high performing athletes from a range of professional and Olympic sports, together with their support teams. Privately, I work in sport and business contexts, operating at an organisational and individual level. I have experience in exercise psychology, most recently supervising students to create a more psychology informed environment for a physical activity referral scheme. Exercise psychology is a significant area of growth which offers many opportunities. I also work as a sessional lecturer in sport psychology, have published novel research and case studies, act as a reviewer on a number of journals, and have an extensive professional network to draw on.

Supervision approach
My approach to supervision mirrors my approach to applied practice. My priority is always to build rapport and establish a safe environment as, I believe, these are the foundations for any helping relationship. I adopt a collaborative approach to supervision, encouraging supervisees to reflect on their experiences, values, and beliefs and supporting them to generate their own answers. The aim is to help you to understand your personal philosophy and develop an authentic and coherent approach to practice. I believe we have free will and, therefore, responsibility for our actions. With responsibility comes anxiety and by exploring our anxiety, we can develop the self-knowledge and self-awareness which contributes to our growth. This normal anxiety is part of the process of discovery & individuation. Allied to this 1-2-1 support, I host group sessions, in collaboration with another supervisor. Peer learning & support is a vital component of development, & this supervision group meets regularly to share knowledge, experiences, and discuss pre-determined topic areas and/or matters arising. Being able to flex & adapt to different contexts is a vital attribute for successful practice. I have a flexible approach to supervision & encourage a flexible approach to practice in those I supervise.
