I am an Associate Professor in Sport and Exercise Psychology and Mental Health at the University of Greenwich. I am a Chartered Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and a Registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council. I have consulted for international sporting organizations (e.g., IOC) and national governments (e.g., Women and Equalities Committee, UK Parliament, LGBTQ+ mental health service use; Ministry of Sports, Republic of Colombia, mental health literacy). Recently, I have developed and delivered training programmes on mental health for BASES SEPAR and the IOC Medical and Scientific Committee. I am also helping lead workshops on equality, diversity, and inclusion for BASES SEPAR. My research and practice mainly focus on the development and implementation of mental health literacy strategies in educational, clinical, and sport environments.

Supervision approach

My goal is to help you define your goals and develop your skills so that you can excel personally and professionally. I have the same philosophy to working with supervisees as with clients. I value honesty, trust, equity, diversity, and inclusion. As your supervisor, you can expect me to work with you in a way which honours these values and helps you achieve your goals. As a candidate, I would expect you to define your goals and engage fully in the process we have co-constructed.

My work is rooted in ecological systems theory. I emphasize a humanistic psychological perspective. In practice, this means I work toward helping other individuals attain greater physical, psychological, and social wellbeing.

Further information

I cover all areas of the UK. I am able to provide remote supervision for candidates throughout the UK and internationally.
