From an applied perspective, I have experience working in a range of contexts such as ITF and WTA tennis, professional esports, football academies, and women's rugby league. My applied work mostly focuses on private consultancy in tennis, football, and esports. My philosophy takes me towards acceptance and mindfulness approaches, and person-centered approaches.

Alongside my applied work, I am a senior lecturer in sport and exercise psychology at Liverpool John Moores University. My research interests are currently in studying cognitions in sport and esports using Think Aloud, exploring the role of sport psychology (and psychologist) in esports and esports coaching, and sexism in sport.

Supervision approach

I aim to create a reflective, collaborative space to share honestly and challenge safely. I believe that you, as a psychologist and a person, are the most important part of successful practice. Therefore, my approach is to support you by empowering you to learn more about yourself, what this means for your role as a sport and exercise psychologist, and how this impacts the way you interact with the performance environment. During the supervision process, one individual and one group meeting will be provided per month.
