Supervision approach

My focus is in on supporting you to develop as a practitioner through offering guidance and advice while also setting tasks and goals and guiding you through your own needs assessment and action planning to navigate through the SE process. This is initially carried out using the SE Competency Framework but will broaden in scope to encompass all of your practice needs. I also set clear timelines having watched SE candidates fall off-track in my time reviewing, while these are designed to keep you focused and progressing they are not concrete and are flexible around your life and working situation. I hope my supervisors view this approach as more of a peer-to-peer process where one is just further along the road.

Further information

I bring a broad range of sporting and knowledge experiences including planning and implementing physiological testing and monitoring delivery for a national Paralympic program, performance analysis in professional football and extensive experience testing and training ultra-endurance runners for events including the Marathon de Sables, UTMB and Arctic Ultra. This has included acclimation training for extreme environments (hot and cold). I also manage performance services from a clinic and privately supporting a multiple national SUP and Out Rigger athlete, triathletes, footballers and volleyball players as well as regional and national BMX riders, Tae Kwondo fighters and TASS athletes. Finally, I bring experience developing and managing screening and training from high performance occupational environments including the Red Bull Racing F1 pit team, Dorset Police Service and researching military populations.
Please don't hesitate to get in touch to arrange a chat over Zoom!
