The Sports Department achieved an excellent score of 22/24 Quality Assurance Agency (QAA 2000), and the Guardian University Guide 2004 ranks it in the top 15 providers of undergraduate sport education in UK. Excellent sports facilities , including a brand new £7 million sports centre and fully equipped BASES-accredited physiology, psychology and biomechanics laboratories at our Walsall Campus. West Bromwich Albion FC and Walsall FC first team squads both make use of our training facilities. The Sports Department has staff with extensive experience, excellent reputations in their fields and a strong research portfolio.
