Course description

Investigate the science of human movement with our practical biomechanics master’s

Explore mechanical principles that underpin human movement to improve performance and understand injury mechanisms in sport and exercise with our hands-on biomechanics master’s. You will develop in-depth knowledge and practical skills such as:

- Coordination and movement variability

- Three-dimensional modelling (e.g. Visual 3D, OpenSim, FreeBody)

- Laboratory testing (e.g. Vicon motion capture system, Cybex dynamometers, Delsys electromyography, Kistler force platforms)

- Field-based assessments (e.g. XSens and Blue Trident IMUs, Theia Markerless motion capture and Catapult GPS)

We designed course content according to competencies laid out by the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES). Therefore, our postgraduate biomechanics degree is the perfect stepping-stone into the sport, exercise, and research industries.

Course topic areas:
Sport science, Performance Analysis, Biomechanics
