Course description

A bespoke course in strength and conditioning, which is a Recognised Education Program of the NSCA.

Focused on developing your understanding of strength and conditioning principles alongside the science

of sport.

The course aims to develop you into a Strength and Conditioning Coach to work with athletes and is

aligned with the UKSCA competency documents and led by an experienced UKSCA accredited coach.

The in depth understanding of training and movement can be used in other professions such as personal

training.

We emphasise employability through many student led practical sessions as well as applied work

experiences with a range of national and international athletes. We have a dedicated, purpose-built

strength and conditioning gym.

At the University of Winchester, we specialise in individual personalised learning in small groups for

practical and seminar-based sessions. Enabling us to work collaboratively with you, as individuals, to

help reach your potential. You’ll also hear from guest speakers working in the field to share their practice

and experiences.
