Submit your abstract for BASES Conference 2019 - deadline approaching

There are just two weeks to go until the deadline (17 May) for submitting abstracts for free communication presentations at BASES Conference 2019.

BASES are inviting abstract submissions for BASES Conference 2019, taking place at the King Power Stadium, Leicester on 19-20 November, in the following sport and exercise science-related themes:

  • Biomechanics and Motor Behaviour
  • Physical Activity for Health
  • Physiology and Nutrition
  • Psychology
  • Sport and Performance

Submit your abstract now.

Deadlines for abstract submissions:

  • Friday 17 May for free communication presentations
  • Friday 14 June for poster presentations and 5 slides in 5 minutes free communications.

Delegate Registration and Conference Programme

Delegate registration for BASES Conference 2019 is now open. 

We are delighted to be able to share this year's keynote speakers, who between them have over 100 year's experience in the sport and exercise sciences field!

c_fosterProf Carl Foster (University of Wisconsin-La Crosse) will draw on extensive experience coaching Olympic teams and his prolific research portfolio to share insights on translating science to coaching in elite sport.


Prof Mike Weed (Canterbury Christ Church University) and Sarah Ruane (National Strategic Lead for Health at Sport England) will bring their experience at the forefront of policy development and implementation to explore the effectiveness of national policy in increasing sport and physical activity participation in the UK.
