Trustees to the Science Council Board 2023

8th February 2023

This year, the Science Council is looking to recruit three new trustees to their Board. They are looking to fill two trustee vacancies with individuals from within their membership, which includes BASES. Applicants must be an employee or a member of a Member Body to apply for one of these positions. They are also looking to fill one trustee vacancy with someone from outside the membership.

The Science Council Board is particularly keen to receive applications from people with skills in the following areas:

  • Parliamentary/Government contacts to grow their policy presence and influence.
  • Management or leadership of scientists in industry to give the Board a better insight into the needs and wants of the scientific workforce to help shape the ‘offer’ to registrants.
  • Marketing/brand awareness to rise their profile and that of the registers.
  • Equity, Diversity and Inclusion to help the Science Council deliver on its objectives in this area and enable them to continue to provide leadership across the sector.
