NEW Special Interest Group - Performance Analysis

BASES are please to announce the NEW Special Interest Group for Performance Analysis convened by Donald Barron.
Their mission is to provide leadership on the creation and maintenance of a sustainable performance analysis pathway that supports practitioners continual personal and professional development, the advancement of knowledge and evidence-based practice within sport and exercise sciences and the creation of a collaborative, inclusive and diverse community for performance analysts to share best practice and support networks.
Their key objectives are:
- Create a diverse, inclusive and supportive community of practitioners and researchers to enhance the development of performance analysis and opportunities for under-represented and protected groups within the discipline.
- Work collaboratively with ISPAS, education providers, national governing bodies, and elite sport organisations to create a clear development pathway for performance analysts and deliver activities and training to support practitioners continual personal and professional development.
- Work collaboratively with ISPAS, education providers, national governing bodies, and elite sport organisations to review, maintain and develop professional standards, clear accreditation processes and career development frameworks that support members progress and professional recognition.
- Promote the use of evidence-based practice within applied practice, facilitate opportunities to engage staff in sport with researchers and education providers and enhance our understanding of sport with performance analysis tools and processes.
