New job title for the BASES Executive Director

The Board of BASES is pleased to announce a change of job title for Ian Wilson from Executive Director to that of Chief Executive Officer from 1 April 2023. BASES Chair, Professor Zoe Knowles FBASES, Chair of the Human Resources, Remuneration and Appointments Committee, said “The title reflects a development of the role over the last 30 years and aligns with that of counterparts across the membership bodies of the Science Council and sport and exercise sector more broadly”. BASES will update the job title across communications, platforms and relevant webpages in the short term and documents/policies in due course as they are reviewed.
