Clean Sport at the Front Line Forum

26th February 2020

UKAD, a partner of BASES, is pleased to announce that registration for the third annual Clean Sport at the Front Line (CS@FL) forum on Thursday 12 March at Edgbaston Park Hotel, Birmingham is open. The agenda can be found here.

Over the past three years CS@FL has become the must-attend event for athlete support personnel, practitioners, and those working in sport with an interest or involvement in clean sport and anti-doping. This year’s event will once again focus on evidence-based practice and how best to support and protect practitioners, as well as the role of athlete support personnel in protecting athletes. For those involved in athlete support, sports research, National Governing Bodies or university programmes with a commitment to clean sport, the event is not to be missed.

This year’s agenda will include keynote sessions exploring how the role of athlete support personnel has changed over the last 10 years, and what changes may be coming over the horizon. It will also take a deep dive into the athlete and athlete support personnel relationship through a clean sport lens, and explore changes to the new World Anti-Doping Code, due to be introduced in January 2021.

The event will again be chaired by leading academic Professor Sue Backhouse of Leeds Beckett University, who also chairs the BASES Clean Sport Special Interest Groups.
