Call for authors: BASES Physiological Testing Guidelines

13th January 2020

The next edition of the BASES Physiological Testing Guidelines has just been commissioned and is due to be handed over to the publishers by the end of 2020. Now in its fifth edition, it will continue to be published as two volumes, ‘Sport Testing’ and ‘Exercise and Clinical Testing’.

As a BASES publication, it is vital that the majority of the guidelines are written by BASES members, although not exclusively so. Therefore, we are asking for all BASES members with specific applied sport and clinical testing to please contact us (richard.davison@uws.ac.uk) if they are interested in authoring a chapter on their expertise. For each chapter, we expect there to be more than one author and we are looking for both research and practitioner expertise to ensure that the new guidelines represent the best current practice.

We look forward to hearing back from you

Prof Richard Davison and Dr Paul Smith (Lead Editors)
