3rd October 2018

The British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES) and The Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP) announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The aim of the MoU is to broaden the opportunities for members of both associations through; research and resource exchange, networking and professional development.

Both associations, will recognise each other’s members as full members, offering preferred pricing to events and online subscriptions.

Dr Keith Tolfrey FBASES, BASES Chair, is delighted that the BASES and CSEP Executive Boards have approved a collaborative Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that outlines how the two learned groups will work together in the future to improve and extend their respective membership benefits through sharing resources and aspiring to align accreditations and certifications where possible. He thanks Prof Nota Klentrou, Kathryn Moore, and Tom Holden for their considerable input in driving this initiative to completion and looks forward to a long and fruitful relationship with our friends in Canada.

Dr. Panagiota (Nota) Klentrou, Chair, CSEP Board of Directors says, "We are proud to partner with an organisation that shares our commitment to evidence-informed practice and knowledge translation. We look forward to the added value this relationship will bring to our members as well as the opportunities for connecting with exercise professionals internationally”.
