BASES Pre-Conference Workshop - 26 November 2018

Online booking is now available for the cross-division Pre-Conference Workshop hosted by the Psychology Division of BASES, at Leeds Beckett University Headingley Campus on Monday 26 November.

There are several sessions taking place throughout the day;

  • A workshop from Toni Williams and Andrew Sparkes on the challenges of teaching qualitative methods within a predominantly quantitative curriculum
  • A keynote session from Prof Sue Backhouse entitled 'The dopogenic environment and the role of the sport and exercise psychologist'
  • A choice of two further workshop sessions in the afternoon. Meta synthesis - Toni Williams and REBT - Jamie Barker, Martin Turner and Andrew Wood
  • The event concludes with a twilight session: "What They Don’t Teach You on a Sport Psychology Degree" presented by Dr David Fletcher, Loughborough University.

The cost for the event is either £30 for the morning or afternoon session, or £50 for the whole day. The twilight session is free although booking is required to secure a place.

Apart from the twilight session which is free to all, the rest of the event is available to BASES members and Conference attendees only.
