BASES Postgraduate Endorsement Scheme (BPGES)

6th November 2024

We are delighted to announce the launch of the BASES Postgraduate Endorsement Scheme (BPGES), which has been designed to enable graduates of MSc Sport and Exercise Science programmes access to the BASES Sport and Exercise Accreditation Route.

Following the launch of BPGES, HE institutions can now apply to have their MSc Sport & Exercise Science programme(s) endorsed by BASES, which, if successful, will evidence that the course includes teaching from staff with appropriate qualifications, expertise, and professional body accreditation, including those accredited by the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES). Furthermore, a BPGES course aligns well for those wishing to become accredited as a BASES Accredited Sport and Exercise Scientist (click here for further information regarding routes to BASES Accreditation).

The endorsement fee for a single MSc. course is £1,800 + VAT, which covers the cost of the application review and assessment process, and the five-year period of endorsement. BPGES Applications can be submitted twice a year, the deadlines being 31 January and 31 May.

Further details regarding the benefits of BASES endorsement and the BPGES process (for students, HE institutions and employers) can be found here.
