BASES Physical Activity for Health Day at University Centre Shrewsbury

2nd July 2019

The University Centre Shrewsbury hosted an inspirational and informative event for the Physical Activity for Health Division on the 25th June 2019 which was chaired by Divisional Chair Dr Dave Broom. Twenty-five attendees from all different backgrounds (including clinical, industry practitioners and academic) networked and shared ideas around public engagement and the UK Active Exercise Referral database which were led by talks from Dr James Brown from Aston University and Dr James Steele from Solent University.

Three postgraduate students gave excellent presentations, demonstrating the breadth of research being undertaken in the area of Physical Activity for Health. We ended the day with discussions around the future direction of the Division.

All in all, the day was successful with attendees leaving with useful knowledge and contacts! Thank you all who presented and attended the day to ensure its success.

Presentations of the day can be found in the Member Area.
