BASES Conference 2018 award winners announced

BASES Conference awards seek to reward outstanding contributions to sport and exercise sciences by BASES members. Awards are presented for research (free communication presentation and poster presentation) in student and non-student categories. Following the BASES Conference 2018 we are delighted to announce the following winners:

Human Kinetics Student Poster Presentation Award: Chris Kite, Aston University 

Human Kinetics Student Free Communication Presentation Award: Laura Judson,Sheffield Hallam University

Cranlea Poster Presentation Award: Lisa O’Halloran,Coventry University

BASES 5 Slides in 5 Minutes Free Communication Award: Peter Alway, Loughborough University

Routledge Recently Qualified Researcher Free Communication Award: James Wright,Solent University

Sportesse Sport and Exercise Science Free Communication Award: Peter Ladlow,Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre, Headley Court

Routledge/Taylor & Francis Sport and Exercise Science Impact Award: Costas Karageorghis,Brunel University

All accepted conference abstracts will be published in an online supplement of the Journal of Sports Sciences.

Free-access will be available upon publication of the supplement, until 31 December 2018, at www.tandfonline.com/rjsp. From 1 January 2019 onwards, BASES members can gain online access to the supplement, as well as the current volume of the Journal of Sports Sciences, by subscribing at the discounted rate of: £70 for regular member; and £29 for student members
