BASES’ Position Stand - The Ongoing Pandemic

The BASES’ Board is pleased to publish an excellent Position Stand on the ongoing Pandemic. This Position Stand was authored by Drs Andy Smith MBE FBASES, Rita de Oliveira, Mark Faghy, Mark Ross and Neil Maxwell FBASES. 

Whilst the Pandemic is not over, its impact on Sport and Exercise Science will be long lasting and profound. The Position Stand includes an historical record of how BASES responded to the Pandemic, and provides advice and resources to members on how to continue to practice safety during the ongoing Pandemic and in its aftermath. The Position Stand informs members how they can volunteer to support others and how they can access support themselves. Finally, the Position Stand speculates on the ongoing and long-term impact of the Pandemic and the implications of these for members and the Association.
