Applications are invited for the above permanent full-time post working in the School of Sport, Health and Exercise Sciences at Bangor University.

Duties will include completing sport and exercise science research, impact, and teaching and learning activities, particularly in physiology or a related subject, to compliment but also to add to the work of the School’s Extremes Research Group and/or the School’s Physical Activity for Health and Wellbeing Centre. Other duties will include contributing to the School and College’s administration or management (depending on level of successful candidate) of the School’s research and impact activities, and academic curricular.

Candidates should be educated to PhD level (or equivalent) in sport and exercise science or related subject, demonstrate the ability to lead internationally significant or world leading research programmes, be willing to work collegiately, and have the ability to successfully teach sport and exercise science content, ideally in physiology, nutrition, or strength and conditioning topics.
The successful candidate must commence the post before 31st July, 2020.

Dependent on experience and potential, the successful applicant may be appointed as a Senior Lecturer (Salary: Grade 9: £50,132 - £58,089 p.a.) or as a Reader (Salary: Grade 9: £59,828 p.a.). Appointment to Reader will be based on candidates demonstrating all the essential requirements noted (please refer to the person specification - highlighted in bold for further details) .
