Army Headquarters is looking to appoint a highly motivated postgraduate in applied physiology or similar (exercise physiology) to join the Applied Human Physiology team of the Army Personnel Research Capability. The post holder will provide full time support to the Women in Ground Close Combat research programme, which includes projects on physical employment standards, musculoskeletal health, thermal injuries, physical training, reproductive health, and nutrition. This post offers a unique opportunity to be directly involved in research that will influence policy within the British Armed Forces.

The Physiologist (Higher Scientific Officer) will be responsible for: Leading data collection of field studies, and arranging support for externally placed research; delivering outputs from in-house research activities; acting as project officer on key research projects; tasking and supervising temporary scientific staff; reviewing and evaluating research documents, including project outputs, ethics documents, draft papers for publication, internal documents and reports.
