The British and Scottish Curling programme is housed within sportscotland institute of sport. The programme has previously delivered Olympic and World medal success and is aiming to do so again in Beijing 2022 and beyond. Our coaching team and the support they provide is integral to sustaining this success. Following a review of our coaching structure, we are looking to further professionalise and enhance our coaching provision, through the creation of up to four new full-time Curling Performance Coach positions.

Led by the National Coach and working within the team of performance coaches, you will be playing a key role in developing a talented and committed squad of players who aspire to be selected for the Olympic Team in Beijing.

You will lead on developing and managing performance plans for a designated team. You will do this by working closely with our experienced team of sports science and medicine specialists to optimise player performance and well-being. As part of this, you will directly deliver the team’s day-to-day training and competition coaching throughout the season, both at home and overseas.

In your broader role as a member of the coaching team, you will work collaboratively and contribute regularly to; the ongoing development of British Curling’s What it Takes to Win model the creation of a high-quality training environment at the National Curling Academy in Stirling. You will contribute to the development of world-leading coaching practice across the performance programme.
