Elected Officer Nominations

1. Nominations are invited for the posts of Chair Elect of the Association for 2007/2008.

2. Nominations are also invited for the following positions within each Division:

• Chair*. To provide leadership to the rest of the Division.
• Conference Representative. To advance knowledge and practice in the field of sport and exercise sciences through the BASES Annual Conference.
• Workshop Representative. To organise a programme of high quality education workshops in sport and exercise sciences.
• Research Representative. To promote research in sport and exercise sciences.
• Student Representative**. To represent the interests of sport and exercise sciences students.

3. Nominations are also invited for the following positions within each pathway {Biomechanics/Interdisciplinary/Physiology#}:

• Biomechanics Accreditation Review Committee Representative.
• Interdisciplinary Accreditation Review Committee Representative.
• Physiology Accreditation Review Committee Representative.
  

The consent of the nominated member must be obtained beforehand. Candidates (apart from the Student Representative – who must be a Student member) must be Professional members of BASES. They must be nominated and seconded by Professional members. Nominations need to be submitted on the ‘BASES Elected Officers 2007-2008 – Nomination Form’ and returned to jbairstow@bases.org.uk by Friday 27 July 2007.

Notes

* The Strategic Management Team will be putting forward a proposal to be voted on at the 2007 AGM to restructure the Strategic Management Team and the Council. If accepted, then the Chairs of the Divisions with sit on the Board (currently called the Strategic Management Team) and be Directors of BASES (under Companies House). The Council will be dissolved.

** The student representative for the Division of Sport and Performance is in post for another year.

# The Psychology Accreditation Review Committee Representative is in post for another year.
