The December issue of The Sport and Exercise Scientist looks at the highlights of the BASES Annual Conference celebrating in its success whilst being mindful of areas for potential improvement. A total of 152 delegates responded to the on-line questionnaire regarding the Conference. This feedback provided valuable insights and has been forwarded to the University of Bath organisers of the 2007 BASES Annual Conference.

In this issue we focus on the debates from the Conference, we also include Interest Group and Divisional updates, and case studies that were recommended by the Accreditation Committee. Dr Richard Godfrey pays tribute to Dr Mark Harries, a co-founder of the British Olympic Medical Centre, who died recently.
