Key changes announced…

BASES are delighted to announce some key changes to its Annual Conference:

• Five types of presentation are available: Scientific Communications; Applied Practice; Symposium; Debates and Workshops.
• The Conference is inviting the submission of abstracts in the following three areas: Education and Professional Development; Physical Activity for Health; Sport and Performance.
• Studies using qualitative and/or quantitative methods are invited.
• Abstracts have been reduced to 400 words.
• The abstract review process will be quicker and the lead author with be informed of the decision in May 2006.
• Student members of BASES are allowed to submit the same material to the BASES Annual Student Conference in the same year.
• Early Registration Daily Fees (before 31 July 2006) are £70 for BASES members and £55 for BASES student members.
• Early Registration 3-Day Conference Fees (before 31 July 2006) are £200 for BASES members and £150 for BASES student members.
• The closing date for abstracts is Friday 28 April 2006.
• Authors must submit the abstract to BASES via the on-line submission form available at www.bases.org.uk/newsite/annualconf.asp This will be available in March 2006.
