Information for Delegates

Getting to the University of Bath

Please arrive via the Norwood Avenue entrance as it will be easier to find the East Car Park from here.

Parking
All visitors should park in the East Car Park. On arrival, we recommend that you park in the car park and then come to the Registration Desk where pre-booked parking permits can be collected. You should display this in your vehicle at your earliest convenience.

A limited number of parking permits will be available to buy at the registration desk at a price of £4. Without a permit, delegates will be required to buy a pay-and-display ticket at the machines in the car park. The cost of this is greater than the cost of a permit.

Buses / Taxis
A regular bus service runs between the campus and the centre of the city (including the railway station). Please see the campus map for the location of the bus stop.

Registration
Registration will be in the Exhibition Hall (marked 5 on the map of campus) and will be open 08:30-17:00 on Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 September and 08:30-14:00 on Friday 14 September.

Upon registration, all delegates will receive a programme book, a delegate bag and a name badge which will also contain lunch, social and drinks tickets.
Please note: name badges should be worn at all times to gain admission to the exhibition and poster hall and to all conference sessions. Replacement badges will be available at the registration desk at a cost of £3.

Accommodation
Check in for accommodation is after 14:00 and check out is by 10:00. Keys can be collected as follows:
Tuesday 11 September - Keys for all accommodation can be collected from Accommodation Services (marked 13 on map of campus) between 14:00 and 22:00 or from the Security Office in Wessex House (see map of campus) after 22:00. You will also be given your delegate badge when you collect your keys as breakfast is included in the room rate and your badge will be your 'pass' for breakfast - this will be served in the Level 1 Café (marked 10 on the map of campus) from 8am until 9am.

Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 September - Keys for standard accommodation can be collected from Accommodation Services (marked 13 on map of campus) between 14:00 and 22:00. Keys for en suite accommodation can be collected from the Marlborough & Solsbury Court Accommodation Office (see map of campus) between 14:00 and 22:00. After 22:00 all keys can be collected from the Security Office in Wessex House. You will collect your delegate badge at registration which will be your 'pass' for breakfast - this will be served in the Level 1 Café (marked 10 on the map of campus) from 8am until 9am.

Luggage storage
There will be a daytime luggage store available close to the Exhibition Hall. Details will be available at the Registration Desk.

Internet access
Each name badge will contain a personalised guest login name and password for use during the conference. Computers will be available in 3E 3.1 (the speaker preparation room) at the times listed below. The guest login name and password will also allow access from all public access computers on campus. Wireless internet access is available in the Blues Café in the Sports Training Village (STV).

Noticeboard
A noticeboard will be located near the entrance of the Exhibition Hall. Delegates are invited to post job vacancies, studentships and relevant notices on this board.

Certificates of attendance
The Register of Exercise Professionals will award 4 CPD points for each day of conference attendance. Certificates of attendance will be available from the BASES stand in the Exhibition Hall.

Photography
By attending this conference, you acknowledge that photographs taken during the event that may include photographs of you may be used for marketing purposes by BASES and the University of Bath.
Photography and videotaping are not allowed in any conference sessions without prior permission from Emily Richards who will be available at the

Thermae Bath Spa
Pre-booked vouchers for the Bath Spa can be collected at the Registration desk.

Access to sports facilities in the Sports Training Village
Delegates have free access to all Sports Training Village Facilities on production of their delegate badge at the STV reception. This includes free unlimited access to Fitness Suite at all times during opening hours. Other facilities cannot be booked in advance but can be used without charge when vacant.
