The Leeds Met Carnegie 2009
BASES Annual Conference organising committee are pleased to announce
the call for Personal Communication Abstracts and Symposia and Workshops
Proposals. There are more details relating to the goals and theme of
the conference in the upcoming edition of The Sport and Exercise Scientist
and also on the conference website. In summary, however, the organising
team are keen for the conference to have something for everyone on each
of the three days of the conference and for the conference programme
to be reflective of the mono, multi and inter-disciplinary research
and practice of all BASES members (and non members!) within:
· The Division of Education and Professional Development
· The Division of Physical Activity for Health
· The Division of Sport and Performance
Abstract submission confirmation will be communicated
to ALL applicants week commencing 22 June 2009
Post Conference Study
Day entitled "Should BASES play a leading role in pre-participation
cardiac screening in the UK - 4 September 2009
Leading sport and exercise scientists and cardiologists have been invited
to discuss contemporary issues relating to pre-participation cardiac
screening, and to debate matters surrounding minimal electrocardiographic
