Overview:

Are you a health care or exercise professional with limited knowledge of diabetes? Afraid to prescribe exercise to diabetes patients because of a lack of practical experience in this area? This workshop will improve your knowledge of type 1 and type 2 diabetes and explore how physical activity and pre-exercise strategies can improve the quality of life of those with diabetes. It may also improve your confidence in prescribing exercise to diabetes patients.

Dr Jeffrey Stephens is a Senior Lecturer in Diabetic Medicine, Swansea University & Consultant Physician, Morriston Hospital.
