The University of Worcester’s McClelland Centre for Health and Wellbeing has recently been awarded a contract by the Worcestershire NHS Occupational Health Service to deliver fitness assessments for the Hereford & Worcester and Shropshire Fire Services. Maintaining effective liaison with the two Fire Services, Occupational Health, appropriate departments within the University and interacting effectively with all levels of staff, students, key partners, other external organisations and members of the public are key to this post. In particular, representing the University of Worcester to various personnel at all levels in the two Fire Services will be a major indication of the success of the project. The postholder will be required to travel independently throughout the region to carry out visits and assessments. This will involve the transport of equipment and the postholder will therefore need a full driving licence and either access to suitable personal transport or be willing to use university vehicles where available.
