The Faculty of Physical Education and Health at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time, tenure-stream academic position in Exercise Science with direct applications to healthy high performance sport. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning on July 1, 2011.

Applicants must have a doctoral degree, demonstrated excellence in scholarship and teaching and a well-articulated research program. Post-doctoral training is highly desirable. 

Applications for the Exercise Science position are invited from those with disciplinary expertise of relevance to psychological &/or physical performance training, enhancement and assessment, or other expertise which facilitates research collaborations and includes applications to healthy high performance sport. The successful candidates will teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels in courses related to their expertise.

Post Doctoral Research Associate / Career Development Fellowships in Public Health Research University of Cambridge Salary scale: £27,319 - £35,649 3 year contract The Centre for Diet and Activity Research (CEDAR) is one of 5 UKCRC Centres of Excellence in Public Health Research. CEDAR invites applications for a number of Post Doctoral Research Associate positions in a portfolio of research related to developing effective public health interventions for changing population level dietary and physical activity behaviour. Potential research areas include individual and societal determinants of dietary behaviour, physical activity and the workplace environment, the design and analysis of natural experiments and translational evidence synthesis for public health research. The roles will follow the model of the MRC Career Development Fellowship Scheme which provides post-doctoral scientists with a fixed term training position to improve their research and transferable skills.
