St Mirren Football Club is seeking to appoint a Sports Scientist who will be responsible for the physical preparation of players at the club. We are looking for a very pro-active individual, who offers ideas and opinions comfortably. The candidate must be able to demonstrate an extensive knowledge of current up to date literature and best practice. The applicant will be required to contribute to the strategic development of the department and the players. Applicants should posses a good first degree or masters in Sports Science or equivalent in a relevant discipline. A track record in Continuous Professional Development is desirable. The candidate should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to interact with existing players and staff. Ideally knowledge and experience of working in this environment is desirable however, it is not essential.
