Description
The Research Institute for Sport and Exercise Sciences at Liverpool John Moores University is an internationally recognised research unit investigating physical activity and health related issues. In partnership with Liverpool PCT, Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and Liverpool City Council we are seeking to appoint Physical Activity Coaches to contribute to the delivery of a family-based lifestyle intervention to tackle childhood obesity in Liverpool (Getting Our Active Lifestyles Started (GOALS).
We are looking for pro-active individuals to deliver physical activity sessions to groups of families with obese children as part of a multidisciplinary team committed to improving the health of Liverpool families. You will be passionate about creating physical activity opportunities for all, regardless of age or ability, and have the enthusiasm and personality to make physical activity fun. A coaching qualification (NGB level 2 or equivalent) and at least one year’s experience coaching children are essential.
