BASES aim to have a BASES University Student Representative at every University offering a sport and exercise science course. The main role of a BASES University Student Rep is to publicise BASES’ activities to postgraduates and undergraduates and increase membership.

What’s Involved in Being a BASES University Student Representative?

  • Liaising closely with the BASES Network Representative at your University - within each University there should be a BASES Network Contact (typically a lecturer) whose role is to promote and publicise BASES and BASES’ activities
  • Establishing a BASES’ student group at each network – offering in-house workshops, organised presentations, contributed to the overall ideas and structure of BASES, etc
  • Making use of the BASES PowerPoint presentation to introduce students to BASES and highlighting the many benefits of membership
  • Establishing a BASES’ departmental notice-boards, displaying publicity material and up-to-date BASES news and information
  • Drawing attention towards the BASES website
  • Promoting the student conference and encouraging students to attend and to present at the conference
  • Promoting the BASES’ workshop programme, supervised experience and accreditation programmes
  • Receive free BASES T-Shirt.
